Aquila is one of the constellations you cannot easily miss in the sky due to being positioned among the largest constellations (rank: 22). The distance between this constellation and the earth is estimated to be 32.6 light-years. The first person to ever discover the constellation of Aquila was a Greek scientist and astronomer named “Ptolemy”. It is interesting to note that not only did Ptolemy discover Aquila but also has written a number of other constellations up to 48, all of which are cataloged under his name.
